As senior advisor at Brettschneider Executive Search, Neta Borshansky, J.D., brings a wealth of experience in law, higher education, and government to her search clients.
Neta began her legal career as a trial attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice before moving into legal education, where she spent nearly a decade as a director at the University of Pennsylvania School of Law. There, she helped legal employers across sectors recruit high-level talent, launched new and collaborative initiatives designed to promote careers in public service, and supported hundreds of lawyers as they launched their careers and made career transitions within competitive employment landscapes.
Most recently, she served as senior counsel to Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs. Her portfolio included providing legal guidance to all governor’s office employees regarding their ethics and confidentiality obligations, as well as offering best practices for inclusive hiring to all state-wide agencies. She also provided legal advice on health, housing, and criminal justice matters, and helped launch the state’s first parental leave program. Neta earned her undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College and her law degree from the University of California. David School of Law. Now based in Arizona, she is a board member of the Phoenix Legal Action Network, a nonprofit that serves the immigrant justice community in Phoenix.
