Mona Lipson, MPH
Mona Lipson (she/her) brings 20+ years of experience in foundations, consulting, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit leadership. Her ability to connect visionary talent with organizations doing purpose-driven work is grounded in extensive experience across fundraising, inclusive strategy, and organizational culture building. Mona has supported successful placements for executive director and university president roles and understands firsthand how values alignment drives long-term leadership success.
Mona is the co-founder of the Guatemala Healing Hands Foundation, delivering pediatric medical care, health care education, and community development in Guatemala. Volunteers of the organization include, but are not limited to, the Chief of Staff at Shriners Children’s Hospital Philadelphia; presidents of the American Association for Hand Surgery and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand; and leaders from institutions such as Wartburg College (President), Hospital for Special Surgery, the University of Toronto, and Northern Arizona University.
Mona’s consulting experience includes her role as Director at Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), a global professional services firm with 10,000+ professionals across 39 countries. As part of the Transaction Advisory’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) team, Mona partnered with leadership to strengthen inclusive hiring practices and develop equity-focused strategies. In addition, she advised corporate and private equity clients on ESG evaluations and solutions designed to mitigate risk and maximize long-term value. Mona also served as Director of Client Strategy at Public, a social impact agency, where she managed strategy and account leadership for nonprofit and brand campaigns that merged purpose with business results.
Mona’s deep experience in the nonprofit and social impact sectors includes leadership in advancement, campaign development, and global partnerships. At Voss Foundation, she led global fundraising and corporate engagement efforts to expand access to clean water and economic opportunity in sub-Saharan Africa. She served as Director of Social Good at VidMob, where she built and led partnerships with 65+ nonprofits, leveraging AI-powered creative technology to amplify mission-aligned campaigns. Her work at Girl Scouts of the USA focused on securing and managing multimillion-dollar corporate partnerships to support programming in STEM education, leadership development, and financial literacy.
In addition to her work in social impact and consulting, Mona is the founder of “Miss Mona Makes Ice Cream”, a small-batch, purpose-driven ice cream venture blending culinary creativity with community values. Miss Mona Makes Ice Cream has been recognized in The New York Times by Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist Jodi Kantor and named “Best Treats” by Connect to Northern Westchester magazine.
Mona holds a Master of Public Administration from NYU and a Bachelor of Science from Boston University.
