Kyle Farmbry, Ph.D., J.D.

Dr. Kyle Farmbry brings to our clients deep experience in institutional leadership, governance, and public policy, offering strategic perspective on complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Senior advisor to our nonprofit and higher education practice, he has held numerous leadership roles in higher education and institutional development. He is a former liberal arts college president and previously served as Dean of the Graduate School at Rutgers University–Newark, with leadership experience spanning academic administration, institutional innovation, and the role of anchor institutions within urban communities.
A Fulbright New Century Scholar (South Africa) and a Fulbright Research Fellow (Malta), his international research has focused on immigration policy, civic engagement, and democratic institutions. He is the author of numerous scholarly works examining public administration, crisis response, migration, poverty, and the evolving role of higher education in society. Dr. Farmbry has served on the Board of Trustees of The George Washington University, is a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration, and serves as a Trustee of the College Board.
He currently serves as a Visiting Research Professor in the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration at The George Washington University, a Non-Residential Fellow in the Cornell University Center for Global Democracy, and an Adjunct Professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the City University of New York. He holds his BA, MPA, and Ph.D. from The George Washington University and a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law.
