Laura Louison Appointed Vice President of Programs at Good+Foundation

Good+Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Louison as
Vice President of Programs, a newly created leadership role that will be pivotal in
shaping and executing the organization’s national program strategy. Louison will
lead efforts to align and refine existing Good+Foundation programs while
developing new strategies to strengthen and create programs and opportunities
nationally, including in public policy and systems change to advance the
organization’s mission to dismantle multi-generational poverty.

Louison brings more than 20 years of experience in public health, social work, and
program management to the organization, along with a deep commitment to
advancing equity and family-centered systems change. Her appointment follows a
competitive search conducted by Brettschneider Executive Search.

“Laura’s expertise in maternal and infant health, combined with her track record of
driving systemic change, makes her an outstanding leader to guide our programs
forward,” said Laurel Parker West, Interim CEO and Chief Programs and Operations
Officer. “Her deep understanding of programs, public policy and capacity building
will be instrumental in expanding our impact and solidifying our strategy to ensure
families have access to comprehensive support and opportunities.”

Louison most recently served as Assistant Commissioner for the Bureau of
Maternal, Infant, and Reproductive Health at the NYC Department of Health and
Mental Hygiene, where she led a portfolio of equity-driven programs, including
NYC’s home visiting initiative, the city’s Maternal Mortality Review Committee, and
the groundbreaking NYC Abortion Navigation Hub. Throughout her career, she has
championed policies and programs that center and support families, particularly in
areas of maternal health, domestic violence, and perinatal substance use
treatment. She previously held leadership roles at the National Implementation
Research Network (UNC, Chapel Hill) and the North Carolina Division of Public
Health and has extensive experience in program delivery, implementation and
management.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Good+ Foundation at this exciting time. The Good+
commitment to dismantling multi-generational poverty so all families can thrive is
unique and inspiring,” said Louison. “At a time when 11.4 million American children
live in poverty, Good+’s work is more important than ever. I am excited to contribute to the foundation’s critical work of meeting families’ tangible needs while simultaneously strengthening the organizations that support them.”

Louison holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Swarthmore College and a Master of
Social Work and Master of Science in Public Health from the University of North
Carolina. Her leadership at Good+Foundation will be instrumental in advancing the
organization’s long-term vision and driving sustainable solutions to systemic poverty.

With operations in New York City and Los Angeles, Good+Foundation has provided more than $124 million in essential goods since 2001. In recent years, Good+Foundation has added a Family Cash grants microgrants program to its in-kind donation model, providing nearly $1.5 million in cash assistance to date.
